We’re a Brisbane based online store that has been created by a mother and son team, Krystal and Jack. The store provides thoughtfully curated, fun, helpful and affordable sensory tools. Our range of support tools are designed for people who are experiencing challenges related to Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Sensory Processing Disorder, Anxiety, and general stress. Our sensory solutions aim to assist with emotional regulation, focus and attention, reduce feelings of anxiety and stress.

Jack is a go getter with an entrepreneurial streak who was diagnosed with ASD at a young age. He has faced challenges with sensory processing, anxiety and a speech delay but that doesn’t stop him from putting himself out there and wanting to have a job already. His first venture was selling his old toys on market place and at the local park. It was Jack who was the source of inspiration for our name, “Big Brain” is something he says when he has a lightbulb BIG idea moment.

I'm Krystal, Jack’s mum, while I’m not a professional in this area I have lived experience since Jack’s diagnosis. Like most parents after a diagnosis, I was overwhelmed and out of my comfort zone when we first started all the therapies, in the beginning, I wasn’t sure what the term “sensory” meant. Now after attending therapies, reading, researching and learning from other parents about all things sensory we are starting our very own store to help other people like Jack, creating a flexible future for him and our whole family.
